Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your purchase and use of DemoDataWorks synthetic industry demo database and Power BI starter content and related files (each, a "Product") from DemoDataWorks — including a Ready-Made Industry Package and a package created using the Generator. By purchasing, generating, or downloading a Product, you agree to these Terms.

The products

DemoDataWorks offers synthetic industry demo databases and Power BI starter content across 10 industries, intended for SQL practice, analytics training, Power BI demonstrations, consulting and client demos, development, and similar non-production use cases — available as a Ready-Made Industry Package or through the Generator.

A Ready-Made Industry Package is a prebuilt dataset, sold as a one-time purchase, currently $14.99 per industry.

The Generator, available at app.demodataworks.com, is a configurable tool sold as a one-time purchase: one purchase provides one generation. You choose the industry, scale, and one or more supported output formats — selecting multiple formats still uses that same one purchased generation — then generate and download your package.

No Product is real business data, and none is intended for use as, or in place of, production data.

License

Your purchase grants you a license to use the Product under the DemoDataWorks Standard Product License. License scope and permitted uses are included in the license file inside your downloaded package. See the License page for a summary.

Restrictions

Unless expressly permitted in the license included with your purchase, you may not redistribute, resell, repackage, or publish the raw dataset, in whole or in part, as a standalone product or dataset.

Payment and delivery

Purchases are processed through Lemon Squeezy.

For a Ready-Made Industry Package, you can download your files as soon as payment is complete.

For the Generator, your purchase provides one generation: after payment, you configure your dataset and generate your package, then download it. A successfully generated package remains available to download for 14 days. If a generation fails because of a technical problem, your generation becomes available again automatically so you can try again.

No warranty

The Product is provided "as is." We make reasonable efforts to ensure the files are accurate, complete, and function as described, but we do not guarantee the Product will be error-free or suitable for every use case.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, DemoDataWorks is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Product. Our total liability for any claim related to the Product is limited to the amount you paid for it.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Product after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
