License

Every DemoDataWorks product — a Ready-Made Industry Package or a package created using the Generator — is licensed, not sold outright as unrestricted data, under the same single DemoDataWorks Standard Product License. The full, governing license text is included as a license file inside your downloaded package. This page is a general summary and does not replace that file.

What's generally covered

The Standard Product License permits internal analytics, SQL and application development, testing, demonstrations, and training. It also covers commercial client demonstrations and consulting engagements, and building and sharing dashboards, reports, queries, and other analysis artifacts you create from the dataset — including in a portfolio or client-facing deliverable — provided the raw dataset or package contents themselves aren't distributed alongside them. You may also modify or transform the dataset for your own permitted work under the license.

What's not covered

Reselling, redistributing, sublicensing, publishing, or repackaging the raw dataset, database files, Power BI files, SQL scripts, or documentation — in original or modified form, as a standalone product or as part of a competing dataset or demo-data product — is not permitted. Representing the data as real, or using it to imply affiliation with any real company or vendor, is also not permitted. See the Terms of Service for more detail.
