Privacy Policy

DemoDataWorks ("we," "us") publishes ready-made, downloadable synthetic industry demo database and Power BI starter packs, and offers the Generator, a configurable tool for creating your own package at app.demodataworks.com. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website, purchase a Ready-Made Industry Package, or sign in and use the Generator, and how we use it.

Information we collect

When you purchase a license, our checkout provider (Lemon Squeezy) collects the information needed to process payment and deliver your download, such as your name, email address, and billing details. We do not collect payment card details directly — these are handled by our payment processor.

To use the Generator, you sign in with your email address using a passwordless, one-time-code sign-in — we don't collect or store a password. While signed in, we store the configuration choices you make to generate your package, such as industry, scale, output formats, and other generation settings, along with a history of your generation and download activity associated with your account.

If you contact us directly, we collect the information you provide, such as your name, email address, and the contents of your message.

How we use information

• To deliver purchased downloads and license information
• To authenticate your access to the Generator
• To generate and provide the package you configure, and to show your generation and download history
• To respond to support requests
• To send order-related communications, such as receipts
• To maintain records required for accounting and tax purposes

We do not sell your personal information.

About the products themselves

Each DemoDataWorks pack is a synthetic dataset. It does not contain real customer data, real company data, confidential data, or personal information of any kind. All records are generated to resemble realistic business data for practice, demos, and training purposes.

Third-party services

Checkout and payment processing are handled by Lemon Squeezy, which maintains its own privacy policy governing how it processes your information.

The Generator uses Supabase for account sign-in, and Cloudflare for application hosting and temporary storage of generated packages. Each maintains its own privacy policy governing how it processes information on our behalf.

Data retention

We retain order and communication records for as long as reasonably necessary to support customers, comply with legal obligations, and maintain business records.

A generated package is stored temporarily so you can download it, and remains available for 14 days. Generator account and generation/download history information is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, consistent with the principle above.
